The SLR is an unlockable rare assault rifle. It resembles the Slate 36 with immensely improved magazine capacity but worse damage per shot and reload speed, making it a below-average selection among the unlockable assault rifles.

- Tier III Graves and Sicarios may use SLRs.
- In turf attacks and defenses, some tier III Sicarios carry SLRs.
- Tier III Sicario captains may have SLRs.
- Baker may begin his campaign with an SLR if he has level three of Super Strapped.
- After players unlock the weapon in multiplayer, the Arms Dealer may sell SLRs to low respect, connected, and respected players in Baker’s Battle. Connected, respected, formidable, and godfather players can also purchase SLRs from the black market.
- Rare generic heisters who offer to join Baker’s crew in the campaign may wield SLRs.

- The SLR is based on the FN FAL.
- The name “SLR” comes from the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle, a variant of the FAL.
