The Hidden Vault

The Hidden Vault is the final mission in Piggy Bank and the principal mission of Key Without a Lock. Baker sends his crew to rob the vault hidden in Vertigo Bank, using the access code from the disk to gain entry to the vault room.

Strategy

Enter the bank

The security room always appears on the staircase landing. Players who wish to proceed stealthily should wait until the coast is clear, pick the lock on the door, and disable the cameras.

Find the board with the shift names

The night manager’s name will be one of the following:

Chris Wheeler

Any computer with any of these nameplates is the correct one, so players don’t need to find the board. Nevertheless, it can spawn:

At the foot of the staircase;
Behind the teller cage on the right side of the building;
In front of the offices in the back right corner of the building; or
On the wall behind the teller cage on the left.

Find the night manager's computer

The computer is in one of the three offices on the ground floor. Players can search for the access card simultaneously to save time.

Inserting the disk into the wrong computer will render the vault permanently inaccessible and trigger the escape sequence. Incorrect computers will spawn with one of the following names:

Proceed to the hidden vault

The vault is hidden in one of three locations:

Behind the bookcase on the far wall of the balcony;
Behind the bookcase under the staircase; or
Beneath the lobby, at the foot of a concealed staircase.

Break open the vault

Steal the loot

The vault has a randomized layout: either a single room with shelves on both sides or a room with a gate the player can drill open. There is enough loot outside the gate to meet the minimum requirements, but if the player does want all of the loot, there are also 1–2 small stashes of cash outside the vault in any of these locations:

On a desk in the teller cage on the right;
On another desk in the teller cage on the right;
On a desk in the teller cage on the left; or
On a desk in the hallway on the left side of the building.

Get to the elevator

Search the offices for the access card

Heisters can find the access card:

Atop a desk in the cubicles to the left of the entrance;
Atop a desk along the wall in the offices to the left of the entrance;
Next to the coatrack in the offices to the left of the entrance;
On a stack of papers in the cubicles to the right of the entrance;
Atop a desk along the wall in the offices at the far right corner of the building; or
Atop a desk in the cubicles in the far right corner of the building.

Call the elevator

Move the loot into the Elevator

If the heisters don’t bring at least 6 bags to the roof, either on their backs or in the elevator, they cannot complete the mission successfully, since the escape objective will never activate.

Go to the roof

Set up the zipline

The zipline is at the edge of the roof opposite the elevator. If the alarm was raised, there will be several SWAT officers already on the roof; the various gangways and ducts provide good cover for the journey across.

If the player didn’t bag enough loot:: Time to escape with what you have

Hook the bags to the Zipline

Players can simply throw bags at the zipline to secure them.

Consequences

Completing the heist successfully unlocks the achievement Savvy Seeker. Whether the player succeeds or not, the disk plot line ends.
