Hook Up is the first mission in Cracker’s story. Just after Cracker obtains the briefcase for Nasara, the Nemesis’s men capture him and torture him for the code to unlock it. The Nemesis gives up and leaves with the briefcase, but Cracker can still escape with his life.
Strategy
Grab the gun
There is a Brescia 92 on the workbench opposite the acid bath. Cracker can sustain six strikes from the Scudo’s Baseball bat before he loses consciousness and dies.
Shoot the rope
Players can eliminate the Scudos before shooting the rope, but it’s significantly harder to aim while Cracker is upside-down. Moreover, any injuries Cracker sustains before he breaks the rope persist for the duration of the mission.
Eliminate all of them
Get to the car
If Cracker doesn’t enter the car within three minutes, the mission automatically ends in success.
Consequences
Completing this mission allows Cracker to team up with Nasara to hunt the Nemesis and recover the briefcase by trading favors with the Scientist. If Cracker fails or ignores the mission, he leaves the campaign for the playthrough, and his story ends.
