Chase’s story

“You must be strong, for all of them alive and them dead…”

Chase’s story is a character story in Baker’s Battle. It follows the smuggler Charles Henry Esson III as he travels to America to join Baker’s crew and lift the curse that besets him.

Objectives

Two to five days elapse.

If the player began Chase’s story in a previous campaign playthrough, it resumes. If the player finished his story, Chase enters the hiring pool as a rookie.

Chase arrives in Rockay, but he needs papers and guns.

The day ends.

Chase survived, but few others did.

Consequences

Completing Chase’s story unlocks the achievement Ding Dong, and Chase offers to join Baker’s crew. He remains in the hiring pool in future campaign playthroughs until he is killed or arrested, at which point his story restarts.

If Chase dies before he completes his story, it resumes in the next campaign playthrough.
